Committed to sustainability
At Facilitea sustainability is part of our DNA. Fully integrated in the 2025-2027 Sustainability Plan of our parent company CaixaBank Payments & Consumer (a subsidiary specialising in consumer payments and finance, 100% owned by CaixaBank), and before that in the 2022-2024 plan, we work every day to drive a responsible business model, aligned with the three ESG initials: Environmental, social and governance, which in turn comprise the 3 ambitions of the plan.
Environmental Ambition
We have two different strategic lines in our environmental ambition:
1. To facilitate our customers’ energy transition
On our Facilitea Coches second-hand vehicle platform, we help our customers to move towards cleaner transport, by facilitating access to vehicles with 0 emission and ECO stickers issued by the Spanish Department of Transport (DGT). In addition, in our transport catalogue we offer electric motorbikes, charging stations, bicycles and scooters. We also promote energy efficiency improvement through our home catalogue, featuring competitively-priced and sustainable products such as solar panels, batteries and energy-efficient household appliances with A, B and C energy efficiency ratings, which are the most efficient.

2. Internal decarbonisation
We are working to reduce our carbon footprint. As part of the CaixaBank Payments & Consumer group, we are included in the calculation of scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions and we offset scope 1 and 2 emissions, and corporate travel in scope 3.
In addition, we promote several initiatives to reduce our footprint, such as reducing the use of disposable resources (plastic cups, paper and toners), reducing our footprint for corporate travel by monitoring the trips made by all employees and recommending more sustainable alternatives and also reducing the carbon footprint of our value chain by focusing on the footprint related to the packaging and transportation of our logistics provider.
Social Ambition
By being part of the CaixaBank Group, which includes the ”la Caixa” Foundation, Facilitea contributes to the social field, like other group companies, by donating part of its profits to the Foundation’s funds. This cooperation makes it possible to finance numerous projects and initiatives with a strong social impact in aspects such as inclusion, education, health and research.
In addition, employees also participate very actively in the volunteering initiatives that are organised both by the foundation and the human resources department of our parent company CaixaBank Payments & Consumer.
Governance Ambition
The way we work is based on principles of transparency, ethics and good governance, aligned with the standards of the CaixaBank Group and with a long-term vision that puts people and the planet at the heart of what we do.
In this regard, we are proud to be part of the B Corp certification family, which helps provide us with a demanding road map to continue improving in all aspects of sustainability so that we can have the greatest positive impact on society.
