Varia RTL515 radar rear light
The Varia RTL515 is the new rearview radar that allows you to see and be seen.
Pair your Edge® bike computer, a compatible Garmin device or your phone so that Varia can warn you about vehicles approaching from behind up to 140 metres away. When paired with your compatible phone, the new Varia app will give you visual and audio alerts. Thanks to the rear light, you can be seen by any vehicle from 1.6 km away. The radar fits perfectly onto any bike. In addition, the peloton mode activates a low-intensity flash that helps you be seen without dazzling other cyclists’ eyes when riding in a group.
Features of the Varia RTL515 radar rear light
- Rear radar: warns of vehicles approaching from behind from up to 140 metres away. Enhanced detection for vehicles that reduce their speed.
- Rear light: visibility in any light conditions. Up to 1.6 km away.
- Varia app: enables cyclists to also enjoy the full Varia radar experience through their smartphones.
- Peloton mode: one of the multiple modes of the Varia RTL515 radar is the peloton mode, which provides light without dazzling other cyclists’ eyes when riding in a group.
- Third-party app compatible: you can pair your Varia with third-party apps using your compatible smartphone; for example you can overlay Ride with GPS with Varia radar alerts.
- Pair your Edge: pair your Edge® bike computer with Varia and your compatible smartphone for a complete experience, as well as with other compatible Garmin accessories.
- Improved mounting bracket: thanks to the new additional bracket, Varia can now be installed on posts with a D shape, Aero mount and round designs.
- Battery life: RTL515, up to 16 hours in flashing mode and 6 hours in solid mode
