China Tour
China is a rich mix of ancient history, where cultural diversity blends with breathtaking natural landscapes and architecture that defies time. From the solemnity of Tiananmen Square and the mystique surrounding the Temple of Heaven, to the imposing Great Wall and the imperial serenity of the Summer Palace, the country offers an unparalleled visual journey. This richness is also reflected at the table: Chinese food is a profound expression of its philosophy and medicine, delighting the palate with ingredients such as tofu and the iconic lacquered duck, and with its mastery of the art of stir-frying and delicate steaming.

- DAY 2. BEIJING
Arrival in Beijing, the political, economic and cultural capital of China. Rest of the day at leisure. Accommodation.
- DAY 3. BEIJING
Half board. Visit of Tiananmen Square, found in the heart of the city. Up next is the Forbidden City, an architectural complex with palaces and pavilions with a predominating red hue, and the residence of the emperors of China. Lunch. In the afternoon, visit to the Temple of Heaven or "Tian Tan", one of the largest sacred precincts in China, built during the Ming Dynasty. The temple is found in a beautiful park where many citizens enjoy practising tai chi, playing cards, flying kites or attending dance classes. On the way back to the hotel, we will stop at a tea house.
- DAY 4. BEIJING (GREAT WALL)
Full board. In the morning, we depart for the Great Wall, where we will take a walking tour of this great engineering feat, among several of its watchtowers. Although Chinese emperors had built barriers to defend themselves from barbarians since ancient times, it was the emperors of the Ming dynasty in the 15th and 16th centuries who erected a defensive barrier in the north of their empire in brick and stone, with a series of towers connected by walls stretching at least 7,000 kilometres apart. This is what we can still see today. Lunch. We will then enjoy a lacquered duck dinner in a restaurant before returning to the hotel.
- DAY 5. BEIJING - XIAN
Half board. In the morning, we will visit the Summer Palace and its imperial gardens. Built in 1750, largely destroyed during the war of 1860 and rebuilt on its foundations in 1886, the palace is a masterpiece of Chinese landscape art. The pavilions, palaces, chambers, temples and bridges are perfectly adapted to the natural landscape of hills and ponds. One of its attractions are the Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake. It was declared aa UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998. We will then stop at a Chinese pearl factory. Lunch and departure by high-speed train to Xi'an (approx. 5 hours), China's ancient Capital for over 1,000 years and the easternmost end of the Silk Road, in addition to being the location of the royal houses of the Zhou, Qin, Han and Tang dynasties.
- DAY 6. XIAN
Half board. We will visit the Xian's greatest treasure, the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. This is the mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of the Qin dynasty, who chose to be buried with this formidable army of clay figures. With the discovery of the tomb, a tent was erected over it, allowing visitors to view this formidable spectacle. Lunch. In the afternoon, visit to the Wild Goose Pagoda (we will not climb to the top). It is a huge 64-metre high Buddhist tower, one of the finest examples of Buddhist architecture of the time in China. On the way back to the hotel, walk through the Muslim quarter with a brief stop at the old city wall.
- DAY 7. XIAN - HANGZHOU
Half board. Flight to Hangzhou, known as "paradise on earth", with a history of over 2,100 years. Despite being devastated by the Mongol invasion at the end of the 13th century, its importance did not diminish as it continued to play a crucial role as a commercial centre, attracting merchants and visitors alike from all over the world. Lunch. Free afternoon.
- DAY 8. HANGZHOU
Half board. We visit the Temple of the Hidden Soul on a hill with Buddha figures carved into the rock. Boat trip on the beautiful West Lake, Hangzhou's main attraction. Although there are 36 lakes with this name across the country, this one has earned the right to be the most famous of them all. It was declared a World Heritage Site for the spectacular natural and human landscape on its shores. On its banks you will find dozens of flowering gardens that make up a spectacular ensemble. Lunch. We visit the city centre, the old traditional Chinese pharmacy and stroll along the pedestrian street of He Fang Jie.
- DAY 9. HANGZHOU - SHANGHAI
Half board. Departure by high-speed train to Shanghai, China's largest commercial centre and one of the country's most important ports. We visit the Jade Buddha Temple and the Mandarin Yuyuan Garden, with a surface area of over 20,000 m2 and over 30,000 landscape scenes. There you will also find different kiosks, gazebos and pavilions. Lunch. We will visit a silk factory and stroll along the promenade and Nanjing Street.
- DAY 10. SHANGHAI
Breakfast. Free day. A stroll through the Pudong area with its skyscrapers, some of the tallest in the world, is recommended.
