Sri Lanka, known as the "Emerald Isle", is a destination that offers a blend of history, nature and culture. Its rich cultural heritage is reflected in festivals such as Kandy's Esala Perahera and archaeological sites such as Sigiriya, known as the "Lion Rock". Religious diversity is shown in the Buddhist temples, mosques, churches and Hindu temples, which co-exist in harmony. The cuisine is homemade, spicy and based on rice, flours, curries and vegetables, with influences from India and Southeast Asia. Typical dishes include rice with curry, kottu roti, hoppers, and string hoppers, among others.

Travel itinerary:
- DAY 1. SPAIN - COLOMBO
Arrival at the airport at the scheduled time for a flight departing to Colombo via Istanbul. Overnight on board.
- DAY 2. COLOMBO - DAMBULLA
Breakfast and departure to Dambulla. Lunch. Dinner and overnight stay.
- DAY 3. DAMBULLA - ANURADHAPURA - MIHINTALE
Breakfast, departure to Anuradhapura, the ancient capital of Sri Lanka, known for its well-preserved ruins. Visit of Anuradhapura and then on to Ruwanwelisaya, Abegiriya, Twin Ponds, Lanka Amaya. Lunch. Stop at Mihintale, a historic Buddhist site in Sri Lanka. Dinner and overnight stay.
- DAY 4. DAMBULLA - SIGIRIYA - POLONNARUWA
Breakfast. Excursion to Sigiriya Rock Fortress (300 m high). Lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon visit to Polonnaruwa, the ancient capital with temples and palaces. Dinner and overnight in Dambulla.
- DAY 5. DAMBULLA - MATALE - KANDY
Breakfast. In the morning visit to the Dambulla Cave Temples, a historical religious site where 150 Buddha statues are kept in five different caves. Departure for Kandy. Arrival in Kandy, and visit of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth. Dinner and overnight stay in Kandy.
- DAY 6. KANDY - PINNAWELA - KANDY
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the Peradeniya Botanical Garden. We then drive to the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, return to Kandy with free time for shopping. Dinner and overnight in Kandy.
- DAY 7. KANDY - NUWARA ELIYA
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, we will take a Kandy-Nanu Oya train ride with spectacular scenery. Visit Nuwara Eliya, a tea-producing area. Lunch. Dinner and overnight stay.
- DAY 8. NUWARA ELIYA - YALA NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast. In the morning, departure to Yala. Lunch in Yala. In the afternoon we will go on a jeep safari through Yala, where we will see leopards, elephants and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight in Kataragama or surroundings.
- DAY 9. YALA - GALLE
Breakfast. Morning departure to Galle, visiting the fishing town of Weligama en route. Lunch at a local restaurant. Arrival in Galle and visit of the city (UNESCO heritage site).
- DAY 10. GALLE - COLOMBO - NEGOMBO
Breakfast. Departure to Negombo. En route we will take a boat ride in Balapitiya including a visit to Cinnamon Island. Lunch in Balapitiya. We will then drive to Colombo for a short sightseeing tour. Dinner and overnight in Negombo.
- DAY 11. NEGOMBO - COLOMBO - SPAIN
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, we will head to Dutch Trail, where we will attend a demonstration of the Toddy (a typical drink) making process. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards we will visit Negombo (Fort, St. Mary's Church, Angurukaramulla Temple). Flight via Istanbul. Overnight on board.
- DAY 12. SPAIN
Arrival and end of the trip.
